Board of Directors Position: Treasurer
What does your committee (or position) do?
I am responsible for our chapter finances and keeping expenses in order each month. I also ensure our budget is followed on a year-to-year basis for all committees.
Why did you want to be on the board?
SMPS has played a huge factor in my career growth, therefore it was only fair for me to give back to the chapter by joining the board!
What do you hope to accomlish as director/chair?
Bring transparency to the chapter on where our finances sit. I also look forward to helping find ways on how to give back to our members.
What advice would you give to someone interested in becoming a board member?
Just do it! You will never have time unless you make time!
Why do you love SMPS?
I love to be in the same room with people who do the same thing as I do. There is no better feeling than knowing some members have either been through it or you can share your story or journey for someone else. It's two-fold!
