How has SMPS helped you in your career?
SMPS has helped me build my confidence and helped me grow professionally. I participated in the SMPS Mentor-Protege program, and got paired with an amazing mentor (Mindy Cernosek). I was able to discuss my career goals, and she helped provide the best advice, resources, and information.

What is the biggest benefit of being active in SMPS?
By participating in events and joining the committees, I was able to expand my professional network, and meet other coordinators that I now call friends and can reach out to for advice or if I have any questions.

Can you offer a helpful hint to fellow SMPS Members?
Join a committee! It's the best way to meet your fellow marketers.

What do you love most about your job?
I love how accomplished I feel after turning in a proposal and we get the notification that we were shortlisted or won the job.

What is your ideal work environment - full remote or hybrid?
Hybrid - it has helped so much with work/life balance. I love having the flexibility to work from home, but also enjoy spending in-person time with my coworkers when I am in the office.

If you were not in this industry, what would be your "dream job"?
My dream job when I was little was to be a singer!

What would you do with a year off?
If I had a year off, I would spend it traveling all around the world.

What do you enjoy most about Houston?
I love that Houston has so many food places. There's always a new restaurant to try!

Are you bingeing any shows? Or what are you currently watching on Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc.
Currently watching The Good Place, Grey's Anatomy, Manifest, and Selena+Chef!

What food have you tried that was the furthest out of your comfort zone?
I'm not a seafood person, but I recently tried oysters and immediately regretted it!
