Board of Directors Position: Sponsorship
What does your committee (or position) do?
The sponsorship committee seeks out companies that are interested in marketing themselves to the Houston area’s leading group of A/E/C professionals.
Why did you want to be on the board?
When you serve on the board, you have the honor, challenge, and responsibility of understanding how everything needs to work together for SMPS to accomplish its goals. I wanted to give back to an organization that has already given me so much!
What do you hope to accomplish as director/chair?
I hope to be able to provide the resources our chapter needs to continue to grow and give back to our members.
What advice would you give to someone interested in becoming a board member?
Go for it! Join committees, find out what you have a passion for, and take the leap!
Why do you love SMPS?
You will never regret investing in yourself. I love that SMPS provides a place for members to not only grow, but also teach.
