RUTH HENSHALL
APRIL 23, 1956 - JUNE 6, 2021
Growing up in a mechanical contracting family, Ruth learned design and construction lingo at an early age. She honed her communications skills at architecture and engineering firms, orchestrating proposals for entire new cities in the Middle East and marketing materials for iconic Houston high-rises.
An integral part of The Lentz Group since 1987, and owner since 2013, she helped hundreds of A/E/C firms communicate with their target clients and guided government agencies in meaningful engagement with the public in infrastructure planning.
Ruth also assisted almost 50 architects, from Texas to Las Vegas to Hong Kong, in aiming to attain one of the American Institute of Architect’s highest honors – Fellowship. In crafting each architect’s unique story, she homed in on the essence of how their work significantly contributed to the profession of architecture and backed that up with persuasive write-ups and graphic layouts of projects, industry activities, awards and publications.
We lost Ruth on June 6, 2021, after several years of battling breast cancer. She joins her beloved husband Frank in watching over their large extended family across the United States, Canada and Great Britain.
Memorial donations in Ruth’s honor may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
