What does your committee (or position) do?
I work with my committee to create educational sessions that will provide both members and non-members learning experiences that will benefit them in their A/E/C careers. Additionally, these events provide invaluable opportunities for professionals to build their network and grow life-long relationships in the industry with trusted peers.
Why did you want to be on the board?
I saw an opportunity to provide strategic influence on educational opportunities for SMPS Houston members and those interested in learning more about marketing for the A/E/C industry.
What do you hope to accomplish as director/chair?
I hope to elevate the learning experience and instill the same passion I have for my career in others.
What advice would you give to someone interested in becoming a board member?
Jump in with both feet and embrace the experience. You get out of SMPS what you put in.
Why do you love SMPS?
SMPS gave me the foundation and network to build a 20+ year career in the Houston A/E/C industry. It’s the organization that keeps on giving!
